The recent Faith Covid Assistance Partnership project by FaithAction, East London Mosque and Tower Hamlets Council highighted the needs of Covid-19 infection prevention supplies for faith settings around the borough. The project gave out supplies of essential items such as face coverings and hand sanitiser to around fifty settings, but the project ended earlier this year.
With Covid-19 cases rapidly rising due to the Omicron variant, Tower Hamlets Public Health are offering further FREE supplies of face coverings and also supplies of lateral flow test kits to all places of worship in the borough. This will be a huge help to many, given that the wearing of face coverings in such settings is now mandatory (apart from people that are exempt).
