Our recent Forum Meeting looked at current council priorities, and took place at East London Mosque. We were joined by attendees online and in person, who heard from speakers from Tower Hamlets Council, with the opportuity for attendees to voice their concerns and ask questions.
Lima Khanom of the council’s Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and Hate Crime team offered practical advice and highlighted training for faith and community leaders to play their part in tackling VAWG.
Abdul Kahn from the council’s Sustainable Development Team provided information on incentives and support that will benefit faith settings and residents, including the Carbon Reduction Community Grants Programme (the most recent update on this funding can be seen in the post below).
