Happy New Year from the THIFF team! We look forward 2025, working together to celebrate and highlight the important work of faith communities in our borough.

Emergency Resilience in Tower Hamlets
We are working with other Equality Hubs, THCVS and the Volunteer Centre to map how local community and faith settings can be prepared to respond in the event of an emergency. The project looks at:
- How messaging should be distributed to settings in the event of an emergency
- Places and spaces that can be utilised in an emergency, for example for storing donated goods, or as rest centres for frontline workers.
- Existing good practice from local settings in previous emergency situations
It is vital that the voices of places of worship and faith based organisations are involved in this project. Please do join us to help communicate the work that the faith sector already does and how this work can join up with other services and organisations.

We will have our standing item of a hate crime update from Met Police, and an update of the work of THIFF over the past month, along with refreshments, and time for networking.
